Snow Fugue

This painting, Snow fugue, is a lyrical exercise in examining layers of white. Pocked with various lavender-blue strokes of paint, in varying intensities.

Trying to capture the feeling of weightlessness that happens during a heavy snowfall. Similar to being underwater, with the mind and the eye searching for reference points and equilibrium….The painter looking for a footing but finding none, enjoying the sense of loss and confusion….And feeling totally safe.
