Flamingo

Alternating between two iridescent colors, a pale violet, and pale turquoise. Flamingo reminds me of the flash of iridescence under birds’ wings, as they take off.  

Somehow, I associate this iridescence to a light at high altitudes, and the triggering of dreams. The painting feels simultaneously wild and serene, openly impressionistic. An ensemble leitmotif that transports me to some otherworldly altitude, far from the crudeness of earth.
