Pool in Field

Here is another adventure into more brush strokes—Pool in Field. The point at which I was no longer afraid of showing the process of painting. There can not be a more quintessential image of summer than the juxtaposition of blue pool water and bright grass.

This eight-stripe painting allows me to show the alternating color fields of blue and green sufficiently. The exciting part is the cross-fertilizing of one color onto the other, blue onto green, green onto blue…So the colors are no longer entirely segregated by their stripe. As a result, I create a canvas that can be read as a whole.
